I have two daughters in a pre-school through the local public school system. The older daughter needs help with gross motor skills but is doing very well in everything else. She's right on track and a little ahead in some areas. That's great and I'm super stoked! The other daughter goes to the same school and is in a different classroom. She's just started about a month and a half ago. They said she needs to be evaluated for special placement. She's reading super short books (think kindergarten books), can write, can count higher than her peers, her language is more advanced than it should be and so on. Essentially they said that she's bored in class and she's not getting the stimulation she needs. She's only 3.5, socially she's not really ready for Kindergarten. I'm kindof at a loss for what to do for her. This school district is a smaller one so I don't know what they would even do for her. What are the steps I can take to make sure she gets an education that's fitting her skill level and make sure she's challenged? I don't want her to be bored at school. I want her to be excited about learning and that won't happen if she's bored. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2envSOt
