Toddler sleep... sigh

So our 16 month old is extremely overtired ever since he moved to the toddler room at daycare. He wakes up at 5am every. single. morning. Naptime in the toddler room isn't until 1pm so he is up for 8hrs in the morning. He sleeps until 3-3:30pm and then bedtime is at 7pm. Since we can't move the nap, we'd like to try and shift his bedtime a little later (either 8pm or 8:30pm) in the hopes that he'll wake up a little bit later (hopefully 6am or 6:30am). We know he might not necessarily wake up any later after we shift his bedtime, but it's worth a try. Just looking on advice if we should just move him to the new bedtime all at once or if we should gradually push the bedtime back. Also just to mention it he takes his nap from 11am - 1pm on the weekends and it makes a world of a difference. However we will shift those naps accordingly to line up with the new schedule when we move his bedtime. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2eFjo4I
