My daughter is 15 and in grade 10, recently in her English class they started reading To Kill A Mockingbird. I was happy to hear as this is one of my favourite books.Apparently however, many parents were complaining that it is not appropriate as it deals with rape and has the n word in it multiple times. Her class stopped reading the book due to these complaints, for now at least, they may start it again later following "further review". (According to the newsletter I received)I was just wondering what other parents thought about this? Personally I think 15/16 is an appropriate age to read this book, I was around that age when I read it for the first time. Am I alone on this? Do you think it's inappropriate? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2dYpZ9o
