I've got a picky eater(and other stuff)

First time mom here! So , as the title says, I have a picky eater. My little one just passed the 15 month mark and it feels like he's just not open to trying new things, or if he does he just immediately hates it. He was like this when he started eating baby food, as much as we did what the doctor said (make him try it over and over and over). He just had certain things he really didn't take to as well as others. So I'm kind of at my wits end when it comes to feeding him. I know I should be giving him more fruits and veggies , and I do give him the option at every meal to have some fruit(breakfast and lunch especially he will eat bananas) or veggies (he likes green beans, carrots are random, broccoli too, usually lunch or dinner) but most of the time he just plays with it and picks at it a little before finally just getting frustrated and not eating anymore.I just want him to be healthy and get all the nutrients he needs, so basically I'm wondering if there are any tricks I could use? He's huge on dairy too, still loves too much milk and cheese and yogurt, but that alone isn't enough for him. I just wonder if anyone else has had such a picky eater this young, I would love to break him out of this habit, I don't want him to be like me (I'm not as bad as I used to be thanks to my husband, but I was a pretty picky eater). I'll probably post separately for other issues lol, one thing at a time! Thanks in advance to any advice or foods to try with him.TL;DR- 15 month old is a picky eater, how can I help him expand his taste in things? What foods can I try? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2dthogp
