Lately I'm getting so angry at the other parents at school. Is this normal?

I handle the pickups for our 8 year old daughter at school. Due to the congestion at pickup time a lot of parents will show up early and park in the lot, so while there's a line of cars we can usually grab our kids and take off ahead of the traffic. This gives me a lot of time to observe the other parents, the good and the bad. Most of the parents are pretty normal. They show up, wait, and pick up their kids like a well oiled machine. They don't stand out at all, and I appreciate that. Some of the parents though are really getting on my nerves. There's the guy who sits in his truck and chain smokes in the school parking lot. There's the woman who I'm convinced is drunk half the time and recently parked on the sidewalk for no apparent reason. There a few who will park in the handicapped spots despite not having any handicap nor a tag granting the privilege. There are people who park taking up two spaces and people who park in non existent spaces blocking traffic. It's an endless list of annoyances for me.Recently there's been a guy who parks in a handicapped spot closest to the school, and he does seem to legitimately have some disability. However when he shows up, he lowers his windows, leans his seat back, and blasts sexually explicit rap loudly for a half hour 5 days a week. For some reason, today I had enough. I marched up to his open window with all the other parents standing around and informed this guy that he was not in his driveway and I don't appreciate what he's playing right in front of my daughter's school. He looked shocked that I said anything to him and just laughed. This sort of enraged me a bit so I ended up ranting at him about what an asshole he is..and yeah I went a little overboard. Some parents thanked me for saying something, but that annoyed me. Why didn't any of them say anything?I guess I'm just ranting here and not really asking anything. I'm just sick and tired of children in adult bodies. I'm tired of the school not enforcing any rules on the parents. I'm tired of watching the decay of society from my car window everyday at my kid's school. Does anyone else feel this way? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2eShjkd
