How in the world do we ween our 11 month old?

I've made multiple posts about this little guy. He doesn't take bottles (unless absolutely starving). My wife is on the brink of an emotional break down if she doesn't get a break and some uninterrupted sleep of some sort soon. She never wanted to breastfeed past 6 months. He still wakes up at least 2 times a night and will rarely go back to sleep unless he's nursed. He has been sleep trained and falls asleep very easily and is able to be comforted back to sleep once or twice during the night. But if he's comforted back to sleep in the night he will just wake up an hour or 2 later and try again. My wife has always chosen the most easy option for getting him back to sleep so we are now in this position. My wife hates to hear him cry for long so she usually just goes and gets him to feed him.It all boils down to him comfort nursing most of the time. There's no reason an 11 month old should have to eat every 4 hours is there? He's just a really needy baby and my wife and I are at our wits end.How do we even start to ween him from breast feeding?Any words of encouragement or opinions would be appreciated. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2dhEvKd
