She and I had just got done playing with her Legos and she sits down to watch some TV, out of nowhere she starts FREAKING out and yelling about how it feels like her eyes are going to fall out. She puts her hands over her eyes and yells "Daddy help me! I don't want my eyes to fall out!" I pick her up and comfort her and tell her that it could never happen and not to worry. I start thinking its some sort of medical issue and I'm about to rush her to the ER, I sit her down and comfort her, put on the TV and she calms down a bit. The rest of the night she periodically would mention that she was worried about her eyes falling out, she says they didn't hurt. I took her in front of the mirror and said "look, your eyes will never fall out, I promise that will never happen." I lay down with her and she falls asleep and the next morning she's perfectly fine. Is this just an irrational childhood fear that all children experience? I remember having fears like this but the way my daughter reacted was pretty over the top and it really worried me. Has anybody else experienced anything similar with their young ones? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/29oFGXD
