Talking to my little sister (11 F) about her body and abuse

Hey folks, new user here. I submitted a post on /r/relationships the other day but I want to talk about a few specific things today. I'll try to keep it concise.I have an estranged 11y/o sister who I recently met and has been living with me for around 2 weeks now.She grew up in an extremely brutal environment and as a result she has serious trust issues and is incredibly withdrawn to the point where she refuses to talk to anyone and hides in her room for most of the day.As she is slowly learning to trust me, I would like to talk to her about her body, puberty and being the victim of sexual abuse. I don't want to frighten her (she is easily startled) so what is the best way I can teach her these things?Edit- Some of the things I've done so far:Getting a female coworker to talk to her (and get her some feminine products)Arranged for her to see a doctor for medical checkupShe's going to see a therapist specializing in trauma in a few daysThanks! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2aIxaiE
