My six year old child is happy, well-adjusted, witty, etc. Only one thing freaks us out: she occasionally picks at her skin or nails compulsively. She pulled at her toenail until it bled today, and when asked why, she said "maybe because I like the pain, or maybe to get in trouble." (We tell her to stop when we catch her doing it, but really just in a "hey that's a bad habit" kind of way--never in a mad way.Of course, now we have visions of a life filled with cutting and other seemingly related things. What should we do? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2a4vc0j
