The best thing I ever did for myself as a new mom was saying "screw this" to baby bathtime and just taking my son in the shower with me. Trust me, when you're doing it all and your every waking hour is absorbed by your new tiny human you barely get the chance to even look at the shower but somehow you still make time for baby baths. At about 6 weeks old I decided, in a greasy, unkempt haze of desperation, to take my son in the shower with me (my mom told me she always did this with me and my brother). It was a game changer. I started getting to at least get somewhat clean ever single night! Also, my son loves the shower. Even now at six months old we're still doing this as part of his bedtime routine. He just melts into my arms and relaxes before bed time. Seriously ladies, screw baby baths, screw them pooping in the bathwater, screw worrying about the water getting too chilly.
