I just got a call from school saying that a parent complained that my son (13) was sexually harassing her daughter last week. Apparently, and this was caught on video as well, my son put his beanie in front of his crotch and waved it around while taunting a female classmate. She told her parents and is now embarrassed to be around my son. He's in in-school suspension during their shared class for the next two weeks. This could be shortened if he gives her a satisfactory apology and she no longer feels uncomfortable around him. He really is a sweet boy and is truly remorseful and clearly didn’t realize the severity of his actions until now but I am horrified and embarrassed. I did not raise my child to treat others like this. I have been taunted, harassed, cat-called, groped, and I know how humiliating it is and how it can affect a victim forever. How do I get through this as a mom? What are appropriate consequences for him? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/33Z1iRE
