Is it a thing where you bring your baby to the doctor and all of a sudden - THEY’RE FINE?

7 month old woke up with a fever TWO days in a row. Slightly snotty nose. Bulbed him both times - snot was green. Green means bacteria is present, yes? Yes.Was going to temp him, THEN take him to daycare. Had an important grant meeting today. I forgot to temp him until I had the entire car packed besides him. Put him in the car seat, in footed pajamas, nothing insane, and he was 100.2. Shit. I crumpled on the bed next to him, pulled him out of the seat and snuggled him. No work today. Nothing matters more than him. Not even a $100,000 grant. Nothing. So I gave him Tylenol. He was hungry. Gave him THREE BOWLS of my “baby butternut soup” (roasted/steamed butternut celery carrot) and cinnamon pear apple. He jumped, squealed, yelled.Trip to the doctors was UNDERwhelming. She temped him, he was exactly 98.6 on the NOSE. I was like - but this morning he was running a fever. She was like - maybe he was overdressed? I was like - no. He was in footed pajamas with no blanket and his face was all red and puffy. She was like, well he’s fine now.So....this is like when I take my car in because the back up camera hasn’t turned on in a month and then it turns on when the guy tries it?Babies are bullshit.EDIT: yes, he is probably teething. But still. A fever means no daycare and no daycare means no work for mom. Yayyyyyy America. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2XqFZGi
