A little background first. My wife and I are both in the military with our contracts coming up in 2 years. When my contract is up I am wanting to go back to school to get my degree while my wife is opting to stay in for 20 years in order to retire.My daughter right now is 19 months and by the time I’m going back to school she’ll be starting pre-school. We’ll be a thousand miles apart if I go back to school while my wife and her stay behind. I’ll miss out on 2-3 years of her life and she’ll remember that I was gone so long.I love my family and they mean everything to me and I’m wanting to go back to school in order to be more successful and give them both everything they deserve but is it worth missing out on those years with my daughter? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/34SCI4W
