We live in a part of the US where appearances and conspicuous consumption are a big deal (bigger than where I grew up) and in a more affluent suburb.Also wr are a mixed-race couple so people double down on negative assumptions if we don’t “look the part”To part of that end (and in part bc this stuff lasts) I have a coach bag. My daughter has asked for one also.In theory - NBD, I can get a cute little one in good shape for $20 on poshmark.
