Separation anxiety at bedtime for almost 2yo

It's 3am, I'm sitting in my son's room because it's the only way I can get him to sleep. He's almost 2yo, and has generally been a good sleeper. We have a great bedtime routine, and he used to go right to bed.We put him in backup daycare (instead of his nanny) for the second time on Friday, and on Saturday night he was standing in his crib crying and screaming. Same Sunday nap and bedtime. I waited 1.5 hours at nap time today, he stood in his crib crying the entire time. The only way he'll go to sleep is if I sit in the room, but it's already becoming a habit, where he expects it. How can I end his anxiety and get him to sleep?? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2NBJre0
