Parenting as a young adult

I grew up in a very dysfunctional environment. I was the oldest child in a family with a drug addicted mother and an alcoholic/workaholic father. I have two younger brothers, one of which is severely disabled. At the age of 13 I was left to care for them. It would be too hard to go into specifics.Things were hard but we made it through and we are thriving in many ways. Our mom recently died as a result of her addiction. It has been hard on all of us.Thankfully my disabled brother is in a program that takes care of most of his needs now. I am still my other brothers go to when it comes to parenting. It is extremely stressful.I just had a very long conversation with him about his future and education. I am pretty much stressed to tears. I’m 23 years old and sometimes people ask why I’m in not interested in having children, I’ve had enough. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2OkkVgD
