Neighborhood bully emailed CPS and ultimately got the cops out to do a welfare check. It backfired and they ended up at his house.

Wife & mom of 3 here..husband I recently moved out to a cute little mountain town and scored a 3 acre property with a fixer house. We are staying in our travel trailer until the house is fixed. The property is/was known tweaker house so we are doing our best to bring life and show the neighborhood that we are nothing like the last owners. Anyway, we've had nothing but trouble from our neighbor we'll call Dick. Dick is a big mean talker. None of the neighbors like him and try to avoid him at all cost. He calls the county codes enforcement almost on every neighbor for something whether it's true or not. He tried to get us too as we were waiting for permits but as a homeowner we thought we could do a few things before permits and this guy literally got us shut down for 2 months.So we've been here now for a few months and my neighbor Lisa who I absolutely love was freaking out this morning because her cat got out and went into Dick's yard. She asked me to go get the cat if possible. So I went to Dick's house who've I never formally met before and he starts coping an attitude about the cat and how he was going to trap it. He also was furious about my dog going past his house (twice when he got out of the yard)..I tried to be very nice and he was a total DICK. I tell my husband and my husband of course goes to talk to the dusty old fart and they get into a yelling match. Dick wasn't expecting my husband to confront him. My husband didn't do anything illegal so Dick decided to call the cops and say we were heavy drug users and that our kids are in danger.Cops showed up a few hours later for a welfare check. Cops were impressed with our setup and renovation. Because it's such a small town they knew of our house being a questionable zone so they felt the urgency to come out right away. Dick decided to show his face right as the cops were leaving and my husband called Dick out in front of the cops. Told the cops this was the reason why they were here. Dick slips away and tries to sneak back to his house but the cops decided to pull up and have a 20 min chat with him. I hope they told Dick to cool off.
