My kid tells everything that goes on in our home!

My 10 year old son simply can’t keep his mouth shut. If I have a simple disagreement with my husband, he tells people that we are fighting and getting divorced. I sighed because my sister had called me three times today and was calling me again, so of course when my sister came to my house, my son immediately told her. He tells everyone his biological father is a drug addict (true, but not something we need to share with the world) and the list goes on and on. Sometimes he’s telling the complete truth but it’s not appropriate to tell and sometimes he’s telling something that’s based on the truth but seriously exaggerating (example: husband and I disagree on the color we want to paint our walls and he tells his teacher we are fighting and getting a divorce). It’s embarrassing and exhausting. I’ve tried explaining that it’s not okay to say everything you think and that it’s not okay to share every detail of our home life, he didn’t miss a beat, right after that conversation, he told our neighbor I was sick. I tried to use that as an example and talked to him again, it still did absolutely no good. I have anxiety every time he opens his mouth. I hate taking him anywhere and I absolutely dread parent teacher conferences, I hate constantly explaining myself.
