My children should know if I love them by now

Today, my beautiful baby girl pooped through her diaper 5 minutes before her older brothers bus was to arrive. He's in Kindergarten and I have to be at the bust stop in order for him to be allowed off. So started to clean and change my 16 month old, who loves to reach for her poop, going as fast as I can, but this poop is everywhere! Finally she has a new diaper and clean pajamas, I look down at my clock and it's 5 minutes past when the bus gets here! Thankfully the bus stops twice at our stop, once heading North, then they turn around at out towns limit and drive past us again. I run out of my house and as soon as I get to the end of the driveway I see the bus crawling past the stop 50 yards from me.This is when I full on sprint in 30 degree weather in just a t-shirt and jeans, waving my arms like an orangutan heading towards lunch time, hoping to catch the bus drivers attention. But they keep going, and I keep sprinting. They stop! But they're turning left, I still need to reach him in time.I'm almost there I reach out towards the bus hoping to tap it and then out of nowhere my ankle just decides to forget how to work. I'm falling face first into the ditch watching the bus make its left turn. I feel my hopes crush along with both my wrists and face as I glide from the ditch into the road.I hear horns honking, I look up the bus has stopped! I get up and hobble to the bus, dead leaves flowing through my hair. I did it, I got my son.The bus driver asked if I was ok. I told him yes? I told him about my 16 month old we laugh. I get home and cry as I pour hydrogen peroxide all over me.I do this for you kids. Hopefully you'll remember this when I'm old and crippled from this fall.*16 month old was with my 10 year old during these 5 glorious minutes. Not hone alone or in harms way during my run. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/32OMqnF
