A little bit of background — my daughter is 20 months old. She seems to be interested in the potty now more than ever. She has been following me to the bathroom for quite some time now but has just started squatting when I sit down on the toilet. She usually goes number 2 around the same time every morning and pees nearly every 30 minutes, lol. I bought her a simple, lightweight potty from Target but she wants to pick it up and “play” with it more than she will sit down on it, which she does do sometimes but not every time we’re in the bathroom. She mimics wiping, can say “peepee” and “poopoo”, and has now started pulling off her pee diapers and bringing me a new one.Can any parents out there tell me if she’s ready, just curious, etc? Should I stick with the lightweight potty on the floor or get one that goes on our toilet that she can sit on without falling in? My mom says potty floor is best because she can access it herself, my other family members say get one that goes on our toilet so I don’t constantly have to be cleaning out the potty on the floor. I need some advice on how to make this a stress free and easy transition for both of us as I know this is a huge change and can get really frustrating!
