Long story short, my kid stuck a “Beado” up his nose, we got it out, he was fine. I googled Beados to find out what chemicals were in the sticky coating since he was in pain for a while after. While current Beados are supposed to be safe if “only a few are ingested” (according to the package), I found that the maker’s predecessor to Beados, Aqua Dots were coated with a chemical that turns into GHB (the fucking date rape drug) and put several children into comas before it was recalled. I’m assuming Beados no longer use this chemical, but... Just... why...Sorry kids, not buying anymore weird experimental craft supplies.
