Hello all! Just want to state that this IS NOT legal advice in any way shape or form! That being said, my husband and I had our wills done today (also our living wills and power of attorney). It was a rough afternoon, but I feel so much better. We have a few people who would have had legal right to fight for custody of our child if we were gone who we have nothing to do with, and also don't want them anywhere near our child (whether we're alive or dead).I feel so at peace knowing that they won't get my sweet baby if something happens to us. Our lawyer said that more people in our situation (young family) need to be thinking about this and having it done, even though it's pretty rough. Most of us probably have a clear idea of what we want to happen to our kids in the unfortunate circumstance that something happens to us. We just wanted to be sure that legally our wishes are carried out and no awful beasts of "family" members get their claws on our little one. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/37bIdxy
