Babies - Does anyone have experience with exposing babies to multiple languages when the household is only one?

My wife and I speak English. I know very rudimentary Spanish and she's the same but with Italian. We try to not let the TV babysit, but when it's on, we play cartoons on Spanish. I hope to do others too. I emphasize on words that I know and sing the Spanish chorus with the show or other parts I've just memorized from repeat watching.I thought that maybe even just Spanish kids songs playing in the background when the TV is off may help. And we hope to get him in a language earlier than we were exposed. Taking Spanish for 4yrs starting in 7th grade didn't teach me much besides how to pass the tests. Are there any studies about this working or not working? Does anyone have languages experience doing this and their kids are now a little older? My son is 10mo. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2qm1bRv
