Am I being unkind?

My 7 year old son woke up in the middle of the night and asked for water. My 6 year old son did the same.There's 1 water bottle near the bed and it belongs to my 6 year old. My eldest chose not to bring his up when it was bedtime, despite me telling him to do so.6 year old drinks, he's also happy to share. 7 year old wants his own water bottle and starts crying when I refuse to get it. He eventually drinks from his brothers after about 5 minutes.Hes done this once before about a month ago and I did the same thing.Was I right to refuse to get his water bottle? Am I being unkind?My eldest is a little selfish and very stubborn. He doesn't do very well at following directions from either parent. Am I making things worse?
