5 Month Old--Help With Wife and SIDS Discussion Needed

Hello All.A little background first: My wife and I have been together 7 years, married 2, and now have a healthy 5 month old boy(our first).Early on I was able to take about 60 days off of work to be around and help. We did alternating shifts and I stayed up at night to make sure he was okay and there were no issues while she could sleep. I've now returned to work full-time with my wife as the stay at home care. Everything has been okay for the most part now, but early on I had found my wife fallen asleep with our child at months 2-3 about half a dozen times on numerous locations. Mostly on the couch while he slept next to her. It has caused trust issues and massive fighting as I am fearful for my son's life. She understands and every time says it won't happen again but it does. Tonight I went downstairs to check on them after spending about 45 minutes alone and I found my wife headfirst on the sofa full asleep and my son next to her asleep on the sofa. I am so terrified of finding my son's corpse and all I get in return of discussing it with my wife is the 'i know i fucked up' mention and that's it.Please. Anyone. Advice on how to fix this and move on. I keep telling my wife if you are that tired wake me up/tell me and I will take over but I just keep finding her asleep. I'd say it's probably been 10 times since he was born now. And I'm worried the next will be the last. It is ruining our marriage and I'm just trying to keep him alive. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2Nd7Ru6
