My daughter turns two next month and she’s been picking up all kinds of new words recently. Seems like she learns 5 new words a day. Not sure if everyone’s kids do this but her words tend to get warped now and then, so “juice” last week is “juuey” this week. She tends to change the ending in words as she sorts through the pronunciation.Which brings us to this week and her newest word warp. When my husband gets home from work every day, she usually stands at the window and excitedly yells “Daaa-eee!” for Daddy. This week she decided the word for Daddy should be pronounced “Daayam!” Sounds like a southerner trying to say “damn”. Let me just clarify here that my husband and I don’t swear around her. She isn’t really trying to say “damn”.I’ve already had to explain to three different people who were visiting at the house around times my husband was getting home and the toddler starts running around yelling “Dayaamm! Daaayaammm!” Hopefully next week she’ll switch back to “Dah-eeeyy” again. We just giggle about it when she’s not looking. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2ZuqKvZ
