So... My kid has been pushed repeatedly by another child in her kindergarden. She pushed back, the other kid fell and started crying thus the adults blame my kid coz the other one bled a tiny bit....Heres the controversial part: I (30m) have always taught her to stand up for herself. "If somebody pushes or hits you, what do we do?" "Tell them to stop and that i dont like it". "And if they keep doing it?" "We push back, harder!".My wife wants to punish her for this but i absolutely disagree. Ive taught her this for a reason. The World is a tough, cruel, unforgiving place and if you let people walk allover you, they will.Am i insane here? Is it really that bad teaching her ? She seems to understand the line between please stop that and okay you asked for it. She has no anger issues and never (to me, my wifes and the kindergardens knowledge) instigates these situations. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2U3RdyC
