Teenage years coming back at 21...? [UPDATE]

Hello, I don t really know how to flair this because it's kind of unusual. You might have seen that post "Teenage years coming back at 21...?" where a mother was worried her adult daughter was coming back to her rebellious phase because she, gasps, cut her hair short. https://ift.tt/2XBVuth the daughter of this person (and yes it is wild to be told by a friend they think youe mother is on reddit). And thank you everyone who commented and told her she was mad and controlling and had issues and she needed to get off my back. Your kids are all lucky to have parents with actual bloody boundaries. If the mods want to delete her post and mine then please go ahead because she isn t looking for advice, she just want validation. To all those who told her I would cut contact, you are right. That s the plan. She knows it but pretends it won t happen. She is a narcissist and abusive. In her post she mentions that I "cut my hair when I was a child and regretted it". That s... Somewhat true. I had my hair down to my thighs and was infested with lice, she couldn t be arsed to treat me so she gave me some products and a comb and told me to deal with it. I did, but not without cutting it to shoulders lenght first so it would be easier to treat. I indeed regretted it... Because she spent the following months yelling at me for it and humiliating me for it.So here. I m totally happy with my current haircut, that I didn t get out of spite for her because she isn t worth it. I will totally go abroad and have my PhD and totally won t have children. And morz importantly I will totally be happy far from that mad woman. Please keep being awesome parents with boundaries, your children are all very lucky to have you and I felt a bit vindicated reading your comments (even at 21 it s still a bit reassuring to be confirmed that you actually aren t just a spoiled and ungrateful brat).Thank you and have a good day! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2YLESAG
