PSA- watch your kids. My son went into a car in 100 degree heat.

Long story short- we're visiting family. There are lots of cousins around, and they roam around the house in a pack playing. We're often pretty hands off, as are the other parents, because the kids always stick together and play. There are eight kids in total.Well, today, my son really wanted to show his cousin a toy that was in the car. So, being three, he went outside by himself (still not sure how this happened), got into our black car sitting in 100 degree heat, and closed the door.THANKFULLY we noticed his absence within a couple minutes and started looking. It's a large property, so my immediate thought was to send people out in multiple directions. My niece walked outside and had the thought to look into our car. He was still sweating, which is a good sign, but was clearly overheating. We got him into a cold tub, made him drink Gatorade, and cooled him down quickly. He is fine, but it was REALLY scary in the moment. He was only in the car a few minutes, but I can't help but think if we had taken a few more minutes to find him, or just didn't notice his absence, he would have died.Watch your kids. I won't be letting this happen again. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/30hZ4KK
