My 7 year old daughter and I are inseperable; we're like two peas in a pod. I know a lot of parents say stuff like, "I'm not here to be your friend, I'm here to be your parent," but I feel like not only am I here to be her parent, I'm also her best friend, and she is mine. She looks at me and thinks the world of me. In her eyes, I can do to wrong. She wholeheartedly trusts me, knows I love her intensely, and that I'd do anything for her. She's my little partner in crime. She leaves me voicemails when she misses me, and she'll use my mom's phone to send me horribly misspelled text messages, asking me when I'll be home 😠and this is the part where I get choked up and hope that our bond stays the same when she becomes a teenager. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2M9rnrk
