6 year old son peeing his pants

Hi all. My 5 (6 in August) year old son has started peeing his pants and I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. He does NOT wet the bed and has been potty trained since he was 3. Before recently, he would pee just a dribble in his underwear and then run to the bathroom. He is now fully peeing his pants. When he does it, it has no affect on him. He doesn’t say anything unless I notice that he has peed. I asked him why he’s doing it he says he “can’t feel the pee”...I’m not sure if this is the truth or if he is just making an excuse because he knows he shouldn’t be peeing his pants. Most of the time i notice him crossing his legs or doing a “potty dance” to which i have to tell him to use the bathroom. I have called our pediatrician to make an appt but with the holiday, the office is closed. Wondering if anyone else has any experience with this at all?
