First of all, I’m not judging anyone parenting. You do you. Your kid is safe, happy, and loved, it’s all good.I have noticed with some of my new mom friends they love playing the “misery olympics” and it’s almost a competition to see who has it worse and it drives me nuts. In casual conversation I just mentioned to a good friend that DD was up last night around midnight and it took an hour to get her back down, she immediately chimes in that her kid was up twice, and that hers is up every night therefore she is more tired.Umm, okay. I didn’t realize it was a competition.I hear things like this a lot!!Also I hear “you’re so lucky a lot”, my dd is 24months and has been potty trained for the last two. She always remarks how lucky I am that she’s trained. It’s not luck. It was dedication, hard work, a lot of paper towel, and cleaner. It seriously took a lot of work to potty train her. Luck had nothing to do with it.I know I’m not perfect, I make tons of parenting mistakes. And this post isn’t meant to judge my friend or anyone else. It’s just not luck. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2D3HgsT
