Just out of curiosity, how many dads out there keep their kids by themselves?My husband is at home with our two kids while I’m on vacation (a girls trip) right now. Everyone in my family is acting like he’s performing a miracle. I’m getting a lot of comments (especially from the older women in my family) “oh my husband would never...” I feel like, yes it is nice that I’m able to get away, but...he’s the dad. It’s not a big deal that he has his own kids.My kids are 1 and 3. I’ve been away for 6 days, will be going home tomorrow. I’ve never taken a trip like this before. I’ve only been away from them overnight a few times until this point but this girls trip came up and I felt like I deserved it since I’m no longer breastfeeding. Husband agreed and encouraged me to go. I’m a SAHM, he took a week off to be at home with the kids. It’s been fine for them. My dad was very hands on with me and my siblings so this has always been my normal.
