Help me be a better father

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I'm not real well versed on reddit sub categories. I have a 12 year old daughter that is hitting those life changing years. Her mother and I are together so I'm not in this alone. I just want to try to be a better father to her as she goes through her phases into womanhood. She is a good kid who does well in school so I'm not looking for corrective techniques but more on how to prepare for and deal with things teenage girls will face. I have no sisters so I have no experience in this. Just looking for advice on how to be a supportive, helpful dad without being overbearing or intrusive. Thanks for any help. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2S9D7hL
