Would you let a 15(M) stay on his own at home for 3 nights?

We may have to head out of town for my youngest son’s competition. My husband wants to leave my oldest(15M) at home by himself from Thursday to Sunday. I think my son is way too young to be left on his own for 4 days and 3 nights. My husband says I make no sense. He thinks I am coddling him and I should let him grow up.
