BIRTHDAY party no shows..

This is my first post on here. Im not big on airing my issues on Facebook. But sometimes you just need an outlet. My daughter is turning 11. She is a good kid. She has some things that make her feel different socially from the other kids. She has a learning disability, she has allergies and asthma so she cant run and play as much as other kids. She is a bit overweight even though noone else in the family is and it makes her feel very uncomfortable. She is aware how other kids look at her and whisper about her. Her father and I get along very well but we were divorced about 5 years ago. So she didnt get to do all those things that her older sibling did.. like b-day parties. This year we decided to come together and have a party. She invited a few kids. 10 total. Not one child RSVP'D to her party. She goes to every bday party shes invited to, always takes wonderful gifts for them. Whether they're nice kids or not. I know its not always feasable to make it to parties..but really! Not one kid is coming! She's so upset. All she wanted was a party...her first bday party.So please, when the awkward kid at school hands out invitations that they took the time to make and decorate and glitter and put stickers on, think twice before you blow that kid off.
