Can't get 7 YO to take responsibility for actions - advice wanted

Just to start off my 7 YO is a good smart kid, like we all say ;) She is in a phase where she just does not listen to what I'm telling her to do - don't go in that room again *immediately goes into room. That part is annoying but kinda par for the course with kids.What worries me is the lack of remorse or willingness to accept responsibility. It is always but I wanted to, but my sister, but I needed, but, but, but you get the idea.I feel like I can't get her to recognize that she was in the wrong.
