Would you allow your 16 year old daughter to go away to another country with her friends?

So I’m having a bit of a dilemma here and wanted to know what other parents think. My daughter is 16, most her friends are 17 but she doesn’t turn 17 until August. They’ve been talking about going away in July after their exams and I don’t know if I’m comfortable with her going. We live in the uk and they’re talking about going to Greece or Ibiza or somewhere like that. It’s gonna be full of partying and drinking and whilst I trust my daughter (to an extent) I don’t trust other people and I worry about her getting in trouble over there and not having anyone to help her. Her friends aren’t bad kids but they do like to party and my daughter can be pressured quite easily and I just really worry about her sometimes. We’ve had a few incidents in the last couple of years where I’ve had to go and pick her up after she’s drank too much and passed out. She seems to have learnt how to control her drinking but I know when you’re away from parents you can easily get carried away.Apparently all the other girls parents have said they can go, I don’t want to keep her from going and miss out on fun, but I’m just really worried about it. Am I being overprotective if i say no to her? Does anyone have any advice? via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2F0n2Uo
