First post here. I'm expecting a baby girl in April. I was raised Catholic, but would now describe myself as agnostic. As a young kid, I have fond memories of bonding with my parents and siblings over regular evening prayers, where we would kneel on the side of bed and 'bless' each of our relatives, pray for any friends or family that were sick or unwell and recite prayers. Looking back it was a good way of keeping in mind relatives that were overseas that we didn't see often, my grandparents and generally taking time to be thankful.I'd like to continue that tradition in some way with my daughter. Do you have any daily motivation/reflection rituals with your kids? I'm thinking something like asking each night:What are you thankful for? What did you learn today? What are you proud of?What could you do better tomorrow?Who are you 'praying' for?I know it sounds a bit cheesy, but I would appreciate any input. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2zfIXT4
