My daughter has been expressing to me for the better part of the school year that she's been having isuses with some of the girls in her class. My daughter feels like some of the girls in their group flip flop from week to week whether they want to be her friend or not, and she feels one girl in particular is creating animosity amongst the group towards my daughter to kick her out of their group of friends.Wednesday night my daughter was quite upset about an event that happened during their Swim Lessons at the YMCA which is part of their PE Class. My daughter claims the girl who has been the most problematic this year was hiding in a locker while one of the other girls asked my daughter if she liked the girl who was hiding in the locker. My daughter voiced how she didn't like how the other girl has been acting. Afterwards my daughter was informed that the other girl was hiding in the locker and heard everything that was said. The rest of the week my daughter said she wasn't inlcuded in any recess or free time activities with her group of friends and that she felt lonely. At the end of dinner my daughter asked my fiance if she would go to the school and tell the girls to "stop playing these games" and that she's "sick of it".I didn't want to ignore my daughters direct request for help with the situation so I reached out to my daughters teacher and informed her of what my daughter had been telling me. The teacher emailed me back after a few days and told me she has been monitoring the situation. She said she had not noticed my daughter being exiled, but rather the group of girls tends to gravitate towards her. The teacher said she reached out to my daughter and asked her how things were going and my daughter was very cheerful and said "good!".I'm extremely confused because I can't imagine my daughter just made these stories up, and as I said she was quite upset when she told me about what had been going on. On the flip side I don't believe the school would mislead me either.I'm not sure if I should bring this up to my daughter or wait until the next time she comes to me to tell me about the girls at school. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2FlZYQW
