Feeling kinda guilty about (maybe) over reacting to pre-teen daughters mistake. Was I wrong?

She plays softball, so I take her after work. Today we get to the field and she asks me if I brought her cleats. Traffic was heavy, so I had plenty of time to let her know how much I hate driving back and forth. I told her that if she leaves the house with sandals that she needs to account for her cleats and to be more responsible.
