Our youngest just turned 5. He has always been a handful and has had verbal, social and emotional delays. (Basically he tests about 1 year behind where he needs to be) He had in home speech/developmental therapy for a year and nothing since then. He talks very well now but you can still notice the delay. However his behavior is all over the map. Basically anytime he's told No ,to something he's doing or wants to do he protests. Sometimes he just argues "Don't tell me that". Sometimes it's full on temper tantrum. Fighting. Kicking. Screaming. Biting. (He's bit his brother who is 15, but never us). Now if you ask him to do something , the majority of the time he will do it. His meltdowns happen when he doesn't get to do what he wants to do. We are at our whits end! We have tried taking toys away, time out, talking to him, EVERYTHING. We have yelled, we have tried the uber calm approach. NOTHING works . Is it just a phase or should we worry? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2pZCybp
