Teach toddler to play?

Did you have to teach/model for your kid how to actually play with toys?My kid is 3 and honestly the main way she plays is by putting stuff in buckets and 'organizing' things. She also loves to layer blankets up into 'nests'.Sometimes she pretends she is selling the things she's carrying around in her bucket. But she never makes the people/animals pretend to talk. When I think of kids playing, I think of them using toys to imitate life, like driving cars on tracks or moving people around a doll house.Do kids just figure this out or does she need someone to teach her how to play?She has a huge vocabulary and does love dress up...although the point is usually to get as many dress up items on her at once as possible. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2f1B6gn
