As the title says, my 9 month-old son does really well with his usual (part-time) daycare and both of the babysitters that we use. He's happy, plays immediately, and doesn't seem to mind when I leave. (One of the sitters often has him while I'm working in the basement, so I can hear if he's upset.) The yoga studio where I belong has drop-off childcare on-site. Awesome, right? Since I only have PT childcare, I like to go there on days when I have him. It's a nice break. Classes are only about an hour.Except he HATES it. HATES. He starts purple crying as soon as we get in the room. I think it's the inconsistency. The caretakers rotate (there are three) and there are new unfamiliar kids there each time. Nothing has ever happened that I know of. He hasn't been hurt. Everyone is really nice. When one of the caretakers takes him out of that room and they hang out in the lobby, he calms down. They do still accept him for care, but I can tell that he's having a terrible time. I don't want to subject him to it. His needs come before my desire to take a yoga class.Since I do love having this as an option, though, I though I'd ask more experienced parents before I give it up: Is there anything I can do? Bring him to that room and play with him when there's no one else in there? Nurse him there before I leave? Or is it a lost cause?TIA! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2gm3qcW
