We're mulling over hiring my MIL as a nanny for my 4 yr old and 1 month old. We need a part time nanny, she needs a part time job, we totally trust her, it seems perfect. It feels a little awkward, to pay her for hanging out with her grandkids, but we'd need a large enough commitment that it would prevent her from getting another job.
