Original PostThank you to those of you who encouraged me to continue to contact CPS. I have and by doing so I guess it prompted others in the teen's family to report on things as well. We have custody of the baby now! I'm so relieved!The teen has a lot of work to do to prove she is capable and prepared to take on the responsibility of having a child, and I really hope this is a good enough wake-up call for her. She has proven she's capable of doing what needs to be done, but only if she has someone standing over her making her do it. I really really REALLY hope she gets it together, and sooner rather than later. This baby is so sweet, it deserves a mom who is committed to being a good parent. If not, well, we will provide a good stable and loving home for the baby for as long as necessary.Seriously though, thank you for the encouragement. I had lost all hope in CPS and if not for you guys I wouldn't have jumped off the fence to call. This is a great online community and I'm really glad I posted! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2dIP71c
