My youngest is everything I'm not. He's talkative, outgoing, social, and above all the most cheerful little thing I have ever met. He's the type of kid tourists stop to take pictures of. When we're walking around downtown, he runs and skips and says hi to everyone.Sometimes my city is a grumpy place. One time he smiled and waved at someone on a train, and the person glared at him, a look of pure hatred. I watched his face fall, it was something like this. His little heart was shattered. I was really concerned for a while that his spirit would be destroyed by assholes in the real world. But for the most part, everyone smiles. They wave. They say hi. And it absolutely makes his day. And I'm pretty sure he makes their days too. So I just want to thank everyone who doesn't give death glares to a happy, joyful toddler. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2dNrln6
