Teenage kid, parents won't let me spend my money to buy a new pc

Hey parents of Reddit. I want your input on something that is frustrating me to death. I've been a gamer since I was in kindergarten and I will never stop. It's a huge part of my life. I now play computer games and my computer is breaking down and it can't run anything well. My parents refuse to let me spend MY MONEY on something that I want. The main reason they said no is because they know I'm going to play on it, which is true. Video games make me happy, I literally spent the entire first quarter of school kissing every persons ass and working my ass off at school because my mom made a deal with me that she would let me. Why do my parents hate gaming so much? I play excessively, but there are no physical problems with me that originate from gaming.
