My 9-year-old son leaned in conspiratorially and whispered, "Don't tell Mommy but I like you better." How would you respond?

I responded by thanking him but praising Mommy's virtues and telling him how much I love them both. I wanted to tell Mommy but then again it would be very hurtful for her to hear, so I didn't. I'm delighted to be loved, but I'm unsure how to respond. There are no major issues between him and his mother, and we're all a very happy family. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2dZ6WL8
