Recently my five-year-old has started expressing his desire for independence and control with anger. He wants to hit and bite so I know how he's feeling (although he is good about not actually trying to hurt). Obviously he knows he's not allowed and we do lots of emotions talk and practice expressing feeling with words. But, I'd like to give him another way to get it out that's age appropriate. The only thing I can really come up with is stamping. He also behaves rudely (tongue out, yelling, etc), which I'm not exactly encouraging, but it's better than the violence. Any other suggestions for ways to express anger that I could allow? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2esPfXO
